Since first meeting in Helsinki in 1981, EPICOH has held regular scientific conferences to promote communication about epidemiological studies on the health effects of occupational exposures among epidemiologists, toxicologists, hygienists and exposure analysts, and other occupational health scientists. The programme will include a one day conference for SCOM and Modernet delegates. At this meeting, we also aim to encourage debate about the role of the occupational epidemiologist. Is it enough for us to objectively identify causal risk factors and elucidate dose-response relationships, or should we be more involved in public policy and workplace intervention to improve worker health globally? For this reason we have chosen as the theme of this year’s conference “Health and the environment at work: the need for solutions”.Weitere Informationen
